Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 22, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how iSpyConnect.com (referred to as "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website, related services, and the Agent DVR application ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in a transparent and secure manner.

What information do we collect?

We collect information to provide, maintain, and improve our services. The types of information we collect depend on how you interact with our website and the App:

Information you provide directly to us:

  • Account Registration: When you register on our site, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, or phone number. This information is used to create and manage your account, provide access to features, and communicate with you.
  • Payment Information: If you make a purchase, sensitive payment information (such as credit card details) is collected and processed securely by our third-party payment gateway providers. We do not store your full payment information on our servers after the transaction.
  • Communications: When you contact us for customer service or inquiries, we collect the content of your communications and any information you provide.
  • Camera Database Contributions: If you choose to share your camera connection URLs with us to contribute to our online database, we collect these URLs. Before storage, these URLs are stripped of all personally identifiable information (e.g., IP address, username, password). We manually review and store the anonymized connection information to power our camera connection wizard and associated tools. By using this service, you agree that this anonymized camera connection information becomes our intellectual property and is covered by our copyright.

Information collected automatically when you use our website and App:

  • Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with our website and the Agent DVR App, such as pages viewed, features used, crash reports, and system activity. This helps us understand user behavior and improve our services.
  • Device Information: We may collect information about the device you use to access our services, including hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Log Data: Our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit our website ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include your Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type and settings, the date and time of your request, and referral URLs.
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons) to understand and save your preferences for future visits, compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future.
    • Google DART Cookie: Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our sites and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.

Information Processed by Agent DVR (User-Controlled Content):

Agent DVR is designed to provide you with a powerful tool for managing and interacting with your camera feeds. While we do not inherently collect or store your raw video or audio feeds, certain features involve the processing of data that you control:

  • Video and Audio Feeds: Agent DVR processes live video and audio feeds from cameras that you (the user) connect to the application. We do not collect, store, or have access to the raw video or audio feeds from your cameras unless you explicitly configure the App to send them to our cloud services (e.g., for specific remote access features, cloud uploads, or AI processing). In such cases, the processing is performed strictly according to your configuration and intent.
  • AI/Machine Learning Data: If you enable AI/Machine Learning integrations within Agent DVR (e.g., with OpenAI, Claude, DeepSeek, Gemini, DeepStack AI, CodeProject.AI, PlateRecognizer), your camera feed data (images, video frames, audio) may be sent to these third-party AI services for analysis (e.g., object recognition, face recognition, LPR/ANPR, audio recognition).
    • Important: The privacy practices of these third-party AI providers are governed by their respective privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies to understand how they handle data.
    • Data Minimization: We strive to ensure that only the necessary data is sent to these AI services for the purpose of the analysis you configure.
    • No Training Data (Unless Configured): Unless explicitly permitted by the AI service's terms AND you configure the integration to allow it, we do not intend for your personal video/audio data sent to these AI services to be used for training their models. You should review the terms of each AI service you integrate with.
    • Biometric Data: When using features like face recognition or LPR/ANPR, biometric data or vehicle identification data may be processed. If you enable these features, you acknowledge and agree that you have obtained all necessary consents from individuals or comply with all applicable laws regarding the collection and processing of such data in your jurisdiction. We do not store biometric data derived from these processes on our servers unless explicitly configured by you for specific features (e.g., recognized faces database on your local Agent DVR instance, but not our central servers).
  • Cloud Storage: If you configure Agent DVR to upload recordings or images to third-party cloud storage providers (e.g., Box, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive), your data is transferred directly to those services according to your account settings. Their privacy policies govern the storage and handling of that data.
  • RTMP Streaming: If you use the RTMP live streaming feature, your camera feeds are streamed to the RTMP destination (e.g., YouTube, Twitch) you configure. The privacy of content on those platforms is governed by their respective policies.
